Privacy policy
Your data never leaves your phone.
In short: Storydials doesn’t collect, store or share any of your personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and it makes no network requests. Your Apple Health data and your photos are used only on your iPhone to draw your dials.
Who we are
Storydials is an iPhone app made by MVP App Studio, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean MVP App Studio, which is responsible for your data. You can contact us at support@storydials.com.
Apple Health data
- With your permission, Storydials reads the Apple Health stats and workouts you choose to allow, such as sleep, steps, exercise, heart rate variability and workout distance or pace. You decide which types it can read in Apple’s Health permission screen.
- Storydials never writes to Apple Health. It doesn’t add, change or delete anything there.
- Health data is used only on your iPhone, to show numbers on your dials. It isn’t sent to us or to anyone else, and it’s never used for advertising, marketing or data mining.
- The latest numbers it read may be kept in the app’s own storage on your iPhone, so your dials are there when you come back. They stay on your iPhone.
- You can change or withdraw access at any time: open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps › Storydials.
Photos
- If you pick a photo as a background, Storydials uses it on your iPhone to build your story. The photo isn’t uploaded anywhere.
- A copy of the background you picked may be kept in the app’s storage on your iPhone so your design is still there next time.
- When you tap Save to Photos, Storydials asks for add-only access, which lets it save your image without seeing the rest of your library.
Sharing to Instagram and other apps
Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it. When you tap Instagram Story, Storydials passes your image to Instagram on your iPhone and opens Instagram’s story editor. When you tap Share, the image goes to the app you pick in the iOS share sheet. After that, the receiving app’s own privacy policy applies, for example Instagram’s.
What we don’t do
- We don’t collect any personal data, usage data or diagnostics.
- We don’t use accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We don’t sell or share data with anyone, because we don’t have any.
Purchases
If Storydials offers optional in-app purchases, such as a Pro upgrade, they’re handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. Apple’s privacy policy covers those transactions.
Data stored on your iPhone
Your settings, saved sets and design choices are stored only in the app on your iPhone. Deleting Storydials deletes them.
Children
Storydials doesn’t collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. Because we don’t hold any personal data about you, there’s nothing for us to access or delete, but you’re welcome to contact us with any question.
This website
storydials.com uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from third parties. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser on your device and never sent anywhere. Our hosting provider may process standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If Storydials ever starts handling data differently, the policy will say so before the change takes effect.
